Assertiveness Program
Assertiveness is the ability to express our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs in a direct, honest, and appropriate way. It means that we have respect both for ourselves and for others. Assertive people consciously work towards “win-win” solutions. They try to ensure that both parties end up with their needs met to the best degree possible. An assertive person effectively influences, listens, and negotiates in such a way that others are willingly engaged.
An assertive person has the self-esteem and confidence to accept that others’ perceptions of their behaviour can add value to their personal development and growth. Participants are empowered when they discover that their behaviour is a choice and that they can change their behaviour to suit different situations.
Goals for the Program
- Gain the confidence to become an assertive person in work and in personal life.
- Understand and remove limiting beliefs about what assertiveness is and how assertive people are perceived.

Key Outcomes

- Choose effective behaviour depending on the situation.
- Change non-assertive body language where appropriate.
- Negotiate with others regarding theirs expectations and demands in an appropriate and engaging way.
