Dealing with Bullies Program

Dealing with bullies and other difficult people is a two and a half hour program designed to assist participants to choose appropriate strategies when dealing with people who are experienced as “difficult” or as bullies.

The key to dealing with difficult people is being able to understand why they are difficult and what constitutes difficult for “us”. However we need to be able to differentiate between someone who is a bully and someone who is just difficult.

Many people are bullied and do not realise it. They often think that it is their fault and they lack awareness of the steps to take if they do understand that what is happening is inappropriate.

Goals for the Program
The presentation will give participants the skills to:
  • Identify bullying behaviour.
  • Differentiate between bullying behaviour and appropriate behaviour.
  • Develop appropriate strategies for dealing with bullies.
  • Set boundaries clearly and effectively.
  • Take appropriate action.
