Change and Resilience Program
The purpose of this training program is to ensure that participants are able to respond effectively and be resilient during ever changing circumstances. Individuals demonstrate resilience when they can face difficult experiences and rise above them with ease. Resilience is best understood as a process. The ability to engage with life with mental toughness or hardiness, such that there is little or no impact on the individual.
Goals for the Program
- Learn how we contribute to the process of leading ourselves, our colleagues and our teams through change.
- Develop the resilience required to manage change gracefully.
- Reduce the negative effects of change: sleepless nights, taking stress home, short tempered, increase in indulgent behaviours, feeling powerless or demotivated.
Key Outcomes
The program will give participants the skills to:
- Become change agile.
- Develop the flexibility to adjust to fluctuations in plans.
- Be innovative when circumstances don’t occur as expected.
- Understand that change has not been “done to us”.
- Have an internal locus of control when confronted with unexpected situations.
- Let go of resentments and frustrations regardless of how well founded they may seem.
- Adjust the approach to people’s personality style because it affects how they respond to and engage with change.
- Deal with the unconscious fears that rise up when changing circumstances become too onerous.
- Cope with our own and others’ reactions to change.
- Immunity and Change: moving through the development stages of change more effectively.
