Running Effective Meetings Program

Meetings hold the potential for motivation, opportunity and improved performance when they are conducted in meaningful ways. One of the most often heard complaints in the workforce is that meetings are too regular, boring and poorly executed. It is becoming increasingly necessary that employees need to learn how to effectively participate in, conduct and chair a meeting. The increase in productivity would be substantial if less time was spent in unproductive meetings.
Goals for the Program
  • Know and understand the principles of meetings, preparation of agendas, minute- taking and how to get the most from a meeting.
  • Develop the capacity to utilise effective communication strategies to pick up and clarify ambiguous or unclear information.
  • Demonstrate assertive management of unproductive behaviours in meetings.
